Our Story

The founder of the fashion arts sewing studio Clara Lopez Castro is a fashion designer with over 20 years of experience in New York City’s Fashion industry. She’s a graduate fashion designer from The Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale as well as a graduate from Apparel Pattern Making and Design at The Fashion Institute of Technology, NY.

After moving to Boca Raton in 2008 and trading the cold weather for year-round sunshine, She quickly realized there was something She wanted to further explore in the fashion design and sewing arts. She found an interest and curiosity in others to learn this wonderful lost art and began to explore teaching opportunities within her own backyard with The Boca Raton Community Center, The Art School of The Boca Raton Museum of Art as well as Sugar Sands Park. Where she created fashion and sewing programs since 2014, During this time, children learned the creative side of the apparel design & sewing industry.

As a result and success of these classes She decided to open The Fashion Arts and Sewing Studio, a place for everyone to learn Fashion and Sewing skills. She truly enjoys teaching all age groups and helping people create their dream projects.
